Nevada Regulations for DUI Schools Changed February 27, 2024

On February 27 of 2024 the Nevada Level 1 regulations for DUI Schools changed per LCB No. R084-22. Existing regulations of the Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 483) were not changed. Below are the highlights of the changes:

An Instructor for a DUI School must be currently licensed in the State of Nevada as a Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker, or a Certified/Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

The length of the first offense level 1 program increased from 8 to 12 hours.

The DUI School must present a curriculum that is evidence based and in their scope of practice.

The course must be presented in person or by a video camera platform such as Google Meet or Zoom. Attendees must be supervised on camera and have an open forum of communication.

The course must be completed within 21 days of attending the first session. Instructors may require you to finish faster than 21 days.
