DUI Class Laws Changed -Online DUI Classes NOT allowed in Nevada

On February 27, 2024, a new law was passed. Level 1 DUI classes in Nevada now must be twelve hours long . DUI classes must be held in person or by active video conferencing such as Google Meet or zoom. Two way supervised camera monitoring is required. This means unmanned online classes are no longer allowed in Nevada including Las Vegas.

The educational and training requirements to obtain a license for a DUI school and instructor license have increased. DUI school providers must be a licensed alcohol and drug counselor, therapist, social worker, marriage and family therapist or a closely related professional. An occupational license from Nevada DMV is required to conduct Level 1, 2, 2x and 3 is required by law. Both the school and instructor license must be posted conspicuously in the classroom.
